Religion rating
So people argue about these religions and stuff so I thought I'd make a ranking of the most popular ones. As you can see, I think the three newer ones are kinda shit and boring, so if you want a good religion that makes you happy, skip right to #1 and #2.
#5: The Abrahamic ones (Christianity, Islam, Judaism)
I thought about putting these in 3-5, but I realized that they don't deserve that and they should just share a bottom space, to be honest, because they all suck a lot.
If you choose one of these, it's gonna make your life suck a lot more. They are super focused on sin and punishment and kind of make you think you're a bad person who deserves eternal punishment for being human and enjoying your life. A big part of these religions are about making yourself miserable and internally conflicted because then you apparently are "good" according to these texts, on the promise that God will let you into a magical place when you die.
Needless to say, these religions were invented by old, grumpy men who couldn't handle change (much like modern politics), so obviously they're very sexist and discriminating against minorities (some have improved with the times, thank GOD), but they need to get with the damn program. They have this creepy ass obsession with sex and sexuality which of course has contributed to a lot of rape and violence against women, kids and minorities.
They do have some interesting characters and stories, and some good mantras and wisdom and guidance and cool practices, and there are components of love and stuff, but historically they have contributed most to judgement, violence, injustice and war. They have been used to subdue humans and claim unjustified power by evil guys who claim an authority and threaten with punishment if you don't do as they say. Very sick, twisted and evil.
And oh yeah, on twisted and evil: they only have one god (boring as hell), who apparently punishes humans with terrible disasters and... just horrible, horrible things. Their gods are evil, sick and sadistic beings, who somehow represent ultimate good and love at the same time. How does it make sense? No clue, but it can stay the hell away from me.
Also, they are kind of boring... Like... Their practices and worship and this and that is so... sterile and over-serious and... Like dry cookies and no rhythm. Yeah, no thanks. If you wanna follow these, please just take the good love parts and clearly and unflinchingly reject the twisted, evil and inhumane parts, because yeah...
